We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. Car insurance is one of the important items you must have. In fact many states require it and it is mandatory. When you live in a big city, you have a greater percentage of chance to have a car accident. You had better have insurance so that you can get your car repaired. Or you may have to have it replaced. New Baby

We just might have a new great grandchild sooner than expected. Granddaughter is having a lot of contractions. They want her to come to the hospital. She was to have a C-section on Tuesday but do not think this baby reads the calendar. It is quite possible that it has decided to pick its own birthday. We will find out soon I think. They do not know yet whether it will be a boy or girl as they want to be surprised. What fun! Labels: C-section, contractions, new baby
Laser Spine Surgery

A number of years ago, I was troubled with a pinched nerve in my lower back. The only remedy was to open my spine and release the nerve that was being pinched. My leg was going numb and something had to be done. However, though it took care of that immediate problem, I have never ceased to have pain in my lower back. Now with less invasive laser spine surgery there is a much better way of correcting problems of the spine without opening up the back and doing surgeries that do not always work either. This new type of spinal surgery is less traumatic and sounds like something I wish they had when I needed back surgery.
Medical Uniform

Medical uniforms have really changed in the last few years. Before it seemed like everyone was dressed alike but now they have such a colorful variety of nurses scrubs in various colors and patterns. It is possible now to get a medical uniform that can be different from everyone else's. Even the lab coats come in a variety of fashionable styles and it is possible to get a black one instead of white all the time. I think it is really nice to see the variety of uniforms when you go visit the doctor or spend time in the hospital. Everyone does not look alike anymore. It gives each one some individuality. Celebration

We are going to take a short trip this weekend. It is our great grandson's 4th birthday. My, they grow up fast. They live on a beautiful acreage. It is a great place to raise kids. It will be something different to do to drive over to their place. I hope it is good weather. We have had such cold days, but the sun is out. My little brother is going to turn 75 next week. I remember well the night he was born. I was just a little over 3 years old. I want to help make his birthday somewhat special since he lives alone. He lost his wife 10 years ago to cancer. I am planning on going to his home and taking him out for his favorite lunch - Chinese.
