About Me
We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. And now blogging has become my latest passion, many thanks to a wonderful grandson. May you all find the joy, peace and happiness in our Lord Jesus Christ that I have found.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries Gifts
Posted by clare3
Could there be anything better than strawberries unless it was Chocolate Covered Strawberries gifts? My birthday is coming up very soon and I would just love a dozen gourmet chocolate dipped strawberries. If there is a man in your life that has everything, you can give him a beautiful package of these strawberries. The hard part is deciding which to give him. For my brother, the 6 hand dipped sports berries would be just right. That would certainly be a novel Chocolate Covered Strawberries gift for the sports fan.
We Miss Holly
Posted by clare3
We miss our little dog, Holly. She used to follow me around everywhere I went when she was feeling good. She would beg for food at the table. At 9:30 every morning we would give her a half slice of American Cheese a bite at a time. She had a little clock in her head and at 9:30 she would come up to you and look at you and you knew she was ready for her cheese. If you ever dropped anything edible on the floor she cleaned it up. She loved just a couple fresh fried potatoes once in a great while. I gave away much of her food, treats, food dishes, pills for arthritis and I still keep finding a few things of hers. I washed her toys this morning and will give them to the neighbor next door for their little dog. We don't plan to have another pet. Labels: Holly, miss Holly
Actos Lawsuit
Posted by clare3
There are several good diabetes medicines for diabetics. However, there seems to be one oral diabetic medicine that has shown some very serious effects during testing of the drug. Because there have been serious injuries such as heart attacks, increased bladder cancer and heart failure, there is now an Actos lawsuit started. I checked it out on the Internet and found it has several other names that I had never heard of. My niece is a diabetic and I need to find out if she may be taking this drug. Anyone who has had any of these serious side effects should retain an experienced firm of attorneys and see if they have a case. Labels: Actos, Actos Lawsuit, heart attacks, oral diabetes medicine
End of July
Posted by clare3
Here it is only 2 days left of July. It has been an exceptionally hot month. I feel sorry for the brides who chose this month to get married. One of our friends got married outside last weekend and it was too hot for us to go. The summer is going fast and it will be August Sunday already and they are predicting higher humidity and lots more heat.
Summer Weather
Posted by clare3
I enjoy summer as much as the next person. However, I do not enjoy excessive heat and humidity. I think this must be the 3rd or 4th week that we have had temperatures in the 90's. The heat index is way over 100 quite a lot. The light bills are arriving now and they are triple last month. The air conditioner has to run night and day and can't keep up. This weather I do not like. Labels: air conditioning, heat index
Multaq Lawsuit
Posted by clare3
Having an irregular heartbeat can be quite unnerving for the person who suffers from such a serious ailment. Back in June of 2009, the FDA approved a new drug called Multaq. It sounded like the answer everyone was looking for. However, now there is a Multaq lawsuit going on. That is because it has all kinds of terrible side effects. But the worst is severe liver damage. Over 500,000 prescriptions for this new drug were given out to patients in just one year. It doesn't sound to me like the FDA did a very good job of checking up on this drug before releasing it to the public. If you have been taking this drug, find out now if you have a case by contacting the right attorneys that are experienced in such cases. Labels: irregular heartbeat, liver failure, Multaq
Pets

Pets really become a strong part of your family. We have had little Holly, our Boston Terrier, nearly 13 years. Yesterday, we took her to the Vet to be put asleep. She had so many problems and no quality of life anymore. She didn't want to eat her food and liver problems. Drank too much water so had to relieve herself many times a day and night. We will really miss her.
It's Parade Time
Posted by clare3
It is summer and time for small town celebrations and Parades. However, it has been a heat wave and so hot people can hardly enjoy turning out to see a parade. You have to be careful not to have a heat stroke. After the parade the kids all went to their Grammy's and played in their little swimming pool to cool off. I would rather it would be in the 70's instead of the 90's. Labels: heat wave, parades, swimming pool
A Baby's Laugh
Posted by clare3
I don't think there is quite anything like a baby's laugh. You just have to laugh right along with them. They grow up so fast and it is so neat to see all the "first" things that they do. When they start to giggle and laugh, it bring happiness to everyone. We have quite a few new babies in our extended family. Labels: Babies, baby's laughter, smiles
Stereo Speakers
Posted by clare3
Stereo speakers come in all shapes and sizes for your every need. They also come in a great many different price ranges so you want to be sure and shop around to get the best buys. I always like to get on the Internet when I am looking for anything as I usually find the best buys that way. In looking for stereo speakers I did the same thing because I wanted to get just what I needed and I wanted to also get the best buy on the speakers. It is easy to shop this way and you are guaranteed to find just what you need. It is easy to order and have the speakers shipped right to your door in a fast manner. I do not like waiting around once I have made up my mind to purchase new stereo speakers. Labels: shop Internet, stereo speakers

Master's Degree
Posted by clare3
Our grandson just got his Master's Degree. That is hard to do when you are working full-time and studying on your own time. But he accomplished it and we are very proud of him. He is the 2nd grandson to get his Master's Degree. I know it will pay off well in the future for both of them.
You really have to dedicate yourself to study in order to do this. However, they both did just that and now they can relax unless they want to go for a PHD. They are both young and have lots of time to do that.
Desk Name Plates
Posted by clare3
When you work at a desk, desk name plates are very important. They let everyone know who you are and that they are at the right place. I feel they are important to employees because it gives them an additional sense of belonging in the company. I retired a while back and took my desk name plate home with me. There are many good looking and varying styles of name plates. Generally, a company will choose the same style for everyone, however, executives may require something a bit more outstanding. In checking the Internet, I found not only are there different styes of name plates but also different colors. Mine happens to be silver with black lettering. I think an executive would prefer a desk wedge style. Secretaries often have slide in and out name plates so when they retire or are promoted to another desk, they can just slide the name plate out and take it to their new desk. There are lots of good choices in name plates. Labels: desk name plates, employees
