We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. The kids are having a great time with their "vehicles" playing on the porch. It is so nice to have a summer porch where they can play out of the hot sun. We have been having some really hot days. Here is a picture of our newest addition to the family. Our little great granddaughter. She doesn't realize how special she is. That is because girls are scarce in our family. We have 10 grandsons and 4 granddaughters. We have 6 great grandsons now and 4 granddaughters and another great grandson on the way. That will make 11 great grandchildren. We have No. 12 on the way too but they want to be surprised. We would all be surprised if they have another girl. That would be neat but grandsons are great too. We love them all.

How carefree children are when they are playing outdoors, chasing bubbles. It is such a simple method of play and so much fun for them. With the wonderful weather, they are getting great exercise, sunshine and fresh air all at the same time. I bet they will sleep well tonight after chasing all those bubbles. It is too bad adults can't get the same fun out of such simple things as chasing bubbles.
We Shall Have Weather Whether or Not

They promised us rain yesterday and we didn't get it. Then early this morning it really thundered and lightening and nearly half an inch of rain. Then the sun came out and the wind blew. My husband got out the lawn mower and got the lawn mowed before we had to bail it. Now it is all overcast again and we could have severe storms tonight they said. We don't need that. Sure glad the flowers got watered good last night so I don't have to do it.

By far my favorite competitive television show on TV is American Idol. Every time it is on, I turn on my satellite tv and sit back and enjoy the show. I honestly can't understand how anybody couldn't like this show. From the contestants to the judges, it's just great.
Every week singers are competing against each other trying to show who can sing and perform the best. Sometimes the judges can be harsh. Other times, the performance may bring a judge to tears. I often find myself getting a favorite early on and cheering them on for the whole season.
The first few episodes of American Idol are especially funny because they show people that shouldn't even attempt to be on the show. Some of them must know they can't sing. I guess they just want to be on http://www.directstartv.com even if it is for the wrong reasons. Who wants to be humiliated on national television. Then there are the people that just blow you away from the very first time. You can just tell that they are going to make it deep into the season.
If you are looking for a great show to watch, check out American Idol, you will no doubt get hooked. You will find yourself picking a favorite and wanting to see if they can make it to the end.

When I was setting up my little office here at home, I was amazed at all the various types of computer network cable that it took to get everything set up and working. It is a maze of cable behind and beside my computer and printer. In order to get the best buys and save myself the most money I possibly could, I chose to shop the Internet to see what was available online. I was happy to find everything I needed and at great prices. It sure helped my budget out too. I found I could even shop by phone from the online store and get my cables quickly. It is Pizza Ranch Night

I always look forward to going out to eat. We have kind of a habit of going to the Pizza Ranch on Tuesday nights. They have buffet now every day both at noon and at night. It is always good and they change the selections of pizzas all the time. You can request your favorite before you leave home and it will be on the buffet before you get there. Of course, my husband's favorite is the mashed potatoes and gravy and broasted chicken legs and a vegetable. If he gets his chicken, he's happy. I like to try different pizzas and the salad bar too. Thunderstorms

We went out to eat. It was sprinkling a little. It had rained hard where we went and it looked bad to the west of us when we were coming home. Now I hear on the television that there is a severe thunderstorm warning in the county west of us. I hope it goes on north and not through here. We do need rain but not thunderstorms. Family Visit Sunday

One of our daughters and her husband are coming to see us on Sunday. We will go out to lunch after church. It will be nice to visit with them. We haven't seen them for awhile. Now that we are the 4th generation and getting up there in years, we seldom get company anymore. Our children are busy with their jobs and busy with their families and grandchildren too. It was perfect weather for playing on the swing set and playing in the new water sprayer too. Lots of good food added to the festivities and a good time was had by all. We couldn't have picked a much better day to be outside enjoying the beautiful yard and watching the great grandkids at play.
