About Me
We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. And now blogging has become my latest passion, many thanks to a wonderful grandson. May you all find the joy, peace and happiness in our Lord Jesus Christ that I have found.
Business Credit Card Processing
Posted by clare3
I went to work for a small electronics repair and sales company. They were considered high risk because of being in a small town and since they were new, it was undetermined as to how the business would grow. The first thing the boss looked for was a credit card processor. He found it was not so easy to get and the costs of processing credit cards was quite high. There was a fee for each card processed and some cards were even higher than others. In order to find someone who could help him, he turned to the Internet and found a company that would evaluate his company. Then they would be able to check their database of credit card processing companies who would offer him a credit card processor that he could afford. He would then be able to decide for himself if that company would be the right credit card processor for him. Happily, he was able to get one which made his customers happy and increased his business many times over. This was because his customers were not used to paying in cash and it was an inconvenience for them to go to the bank and come back and pay their bill and pick up their computer. Apple Pie
Posted by clare3
I think nearly everyone loves apple pie. It is the basic pie for all gatherings of all sorts. Here our little great granddaughter is showing off the apple pie her grandpa made. Yes, you heard right. Her grandpa made it. He is very good at making apple pie. We wish we were there to enjoy it too.
Quick Cooking for Supper

A couple hours ago, I put some baby back ribs in the oven at 225 degrees with Cookies BBQ sauce all over them, wrapped in foil. The whole house smells wonderful. But what I am so happy about is that I discovered IDAHOAN Golden Select instant mashed potatoes. They are real Golden and Russet potatoes and blended with real butter. You can keep the packages in your cupboard and they only take about 5 minutes to make. We are going to have them tonight with the ribs. Yum! Can hardly wait. Just another half hour and all will be ready. So convenient. Labels: Cooking, Idahoan mashed potatoes

You may not believe it but you can learn a lot from your kids, no matter how old you are. I just learned how to make the best homemade sub sandwich at home easily and it is just delicious. You use french bread and 2 kinds of meat. Then you add some swiss cheese and mix up an easy special sauce and pour over the top. You bake the bread in foil and open the last few minutes for a yummy crusty top. It is absolutely delicious and the house smells wonderful too. Labels: homemade, recipes, sub sandwich

The Winds of March
Posted by clare3
Wow! This is one of those days when you have to hold onto your hat. You better have a good warm coat on as it is only 37 degrees this afternoon. There is no sun and it has been raining. We got a good rain in the night too and also Sunday night. It sure helps to take down those huge piles of snow. I had to hang onto the mail for dear life, when I got it out of the mailbox. Sneaker Stores
Posted by clare3
Spring has sprung, as they say and it is time to get out of the old winter clothes and into some stylish new ones. Of course, I like to start on the Internet shopping for new sneakers. I love to shop good sneaker stores where you have a very large choice of all the name brands and every style and color. Whether it is men's or women's, there is a huge selection to choose from. It is so much fun deciding on the styles to go with our jeans and outfits. However, choosing among the various colors is very important too so you want to be sure and shop the best store with the most sneakers. Labels: brands and colors, sneaker stores, styles
Sunday is Church
Posted by clare3
We had a guest speaker this morning. She was very good. She kept you on the edge of your seat and soaking in everything she said. She originally moved to Iowa from South Carolina so she talked about our weather a bit too. She said we sure do have weather here, all kinds of it and changing all the time. She was right about that. It is finally up to 48 degrees at 3:00 pm CST so it will start cooling down as the sun starts setting. Not exactly your heat wave and rain besides. We got 3/4" overnight till noon. Buying a Hyundie Genesis
Posted by clare3
Frankly, I didn't know much about the Hyundie and so I had never considered purchasing a Hyundai Genesis. However, I was researching the Internet one day for cars and I remembered seeing something about Hyundie cars on television. So I looked up their website and I was very impressed by the beauty and comfort of the 2011 Hyundai Genesis. Since we have always had a sedan, I was most interested in the Hyundai Genesis Sedan. I also found out that they have a large inventory of parts so if I decided to buy a used Hyundai Genesis car, I would be able to search the Hyundai Genesis easily and find the parts I needed and would be able to get them later on, if needed, at the best prices available. Custom Labels and Graphic Overlays
Posted by clare3
Most commercial businesses use custom labels all throughout their business. Everyone has noticed the nameplates first of all. However, warning labels are so very important in any business. Business such as the military, industry and commercial use a great number of labels on everything they have and produce. When looking for such graphic overlays, they are also looking for excellent quality and good customer service. Being able to order and receive their order within 24 hours is a real plus and having their order made exactly as they wanted it, is even more important. By checking companies on the Internet, you can find one that can do everything you ask and more. When they take time to listen to their customer's feedback, they continue to meet all specifications for custom labels and graphic overlays. Labels: custom labels, graphic overlays, quality
Auto Insurance Blog
Posted by clare3
You can certainly learn a great deal from a good auto insurance blog. I was just reading a blog about eating while driving. It was very interesting to learn that in England, you can be fined and worse for eating while driving. I also discovered a great place to get quotes on the cheapest auto insurance. That is just what we need in these days of high gas prices and trying to keep our budgets under control. Any information that is of help is of great value these days. I always enjoy checking out the various quotes from companies to see if I can save some money on my car insurance. Labels: auto insurance blog, cheapest car insurance, Get Quotes
Neighbors
Posted by clare3
We have really good neighbors here where we live. The next door neighbor is out right now shoveling all the snow off the sidewalks. It is just warm enough that wherever you clear the snow, the cement dries right off. We have all kinds of snow in the yard yet but at least the sidewalks and driveways are dry now that the snow has been removed. We will sure be glad when we see the last snowfall this year. Here is one of our little great grandsons looking out the window. He is just walking real good now and adventuring all over the house. It has to be fun for him to look out the window and see the snow. We are going to get more snow this week again so I bet he will be trying to look out the window again to see the snowflakes. Living on a farm, he can get a wonderful view of the great outdoors. It is so cute to see them growing up and doing these things.
Mortgage, Insurance and Financial Services Leads
Posted by clare3
These are tough times when people spend quite a bit of their time working on their budget, making sure that they have saved money wherever they can. Perhaps their mortgage is quite high and they are looking to lower their interest rates to get more money to help pay off their credit card debt. I know we have been looking at our insurance rates and with car insurance, life insurance, loans and high interest on credit cards, we know we have to do much searching and see what we can find out to lower these. However, having a business that is looking for good mortgage rates for these folks and home loans, or just to refinance their present mortgage, we need to get good leads to all the information we need to help them out. The Internet is a great source of information and help. Labels: financial services leads, insurance leads, Mortgage leads
Beading Supplies
Posted by clare3
I certainly have to admire my friends who are creative. They make all sorts of wonderful things out of beads. Of course, jewelry and pins are high on my list of items I love to see, buy or receive as a gift. However, those who make a living out of doing this need a good source of beading supplies in order to turn out all the beautiful earrings, necklaces and even rings. I was looking at the Internet and found a wonderful assortment of everything you need to produce such items. I know it takes more patience than I have to do this. That is why I really do admire those with the patience and talent to produce beautiful beaded items. Labels: beading supplies, earrings, jewelry
Gas Prices
Posted by clare3
Wow! I got gas the other day and just since then it has done up another 13 cents. I drove by the house I check out in the winter and then drove by one of the stations in town. I saw they had raised the price of gas again. It sounds like it could get as high as $10 if things don't calm down overseas. I wish all those people who won't let us drill our own oil had to walk from now on. Maybe they would change their minds. Labels: drill for oil, gas prices
