We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. Now that the sun has been shining, the porch is really warm from the sun. Our little great grandson is playing in the porch with his big brother. You can see by his big smile that he is having the time of his life. He is one year old and is walking all over now. I know he keeps his mother running. We all try to keep our complexion as clean as possible but one area that seems hard to control is blackheads on nose. It seems no manner of skin care works in this area as well as you would like. What are some basic winter safety tips a person should execute in order to obtain the highest protection from the winter season? Weather conditions such as ice, heavy snow, and extremely dangerously cold temperatures can strike anywhere, anytime. So what are some of the most important things you can do to protect yourself, and your loved ones from the often times devastating effects of winter weather? Just a few tips, keep an emergency supply kit within your home that also features a battery powered radio, along with extra batteries. Also keep canned food on hand, and a manual can opener, flashlights and also lamps that are battery powered in the event the power fails.
Wood or the fireplace if you have one, and some rock salt for melting ice and helping to improve traction. Also make sure the car is in working condition and has some blankets, booster cables and spare tools, along with warm clothing, bottled water, dried nuts and fruits, first aid kit, batteries and flashlights, fire extinguisher and also an ice scraper and shovel. Also make certain to wear layers of protection for the cold, try to include a scarf, hat, and mittens as these are all vital protection against winter's brutal weather. Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Today is the day all sweethearts get their sweethearts flowers, candy or gifts of some sort. That has never been a tradition in our family but I wish it was. I do agree that it was probably started by a greeting card company and it has grown to all proportions. I have seen so much on television today. Wind Chill Warnings

We are under extreme wind chill warnings today. It was -12 when we got up this morning. The wind chill was -35. It is now up to 2 degrees and the wind is blowing harder so I would guess the wind chill is still way below zero. The sun is shining though and that always helps lift your spirits and makes you happier even though it is so cold outside. It is even too cold for the kids to play outside.
