We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. New Years Celebrations

What are you doing for New Years? Many will go out and party and get drunk and won't remember what they did. We will have a quiet New Years at home, watching fireworks on television and special programming. We will probably share some chips and dips and pop and go to bed before midnight because we can't seem to stay awake that long anymore. There was a time one year when all the kids came and we all tried to stay up all night. I made it to 2 or 3 a. m. if I remember right and some of the kids made it to 4 but few stayed up all night. Family Fun

Had a great time Sunday with all the family. Celebrating Christmas the day after with lots of good food. Fun with the little great grandkids. Kids just make Christmas. The adults played a game of choosing gifts and then changing them if they wanted to with someone else. I got a beautiful votive set. There was fun for all and plenty to eat. It got foggy and a few snow flurries but it was a good day.

Here we are scooping or shoveling snow again. It seems like an endless job this year. I think this is going to be one of those winters you are going to give your shovel and snow blower a good work out. I guess we were lucky awhile back. I remember one winter we only used the snow blower once and another winter we used it twice and here it is not even the end of December and we have used it twice already. It is so neat to see photos of your newest great granddaughter on Facebook. Even though they are miles away, you get to see them shortly after they are born. She is a cute little gal and I think she looks a lot like her Mom but it is really hard to tell as they change so quickly. She has such dark eyes she looks like she could have brown eyes. I always thought most babies were born with blue eyes and then they change but hers look so dark already. She will be a cutie.

Sunshine

We have actually had two sunny days in a row. I had almost forgotten what it looked like. When the sun is out it doesn't really matter how cold it is. It just makes you feel better to see the sunshine and you can feel the warmth of it through the windows. If you go for a ride, the sun coming in the window is actually quite warm even though it may be zero outside. It was good to have a day without snow too.

I'm not much of a cigar smoker but I know that those that are really like a fine cigar. They won't smoke just any old cigar, they want one with fine mellow tobacco in them. When a cigar smoker sits down to enjoy his cigar, he wants a luxurious davidoff cigar because he can sit back and relax and truly enjoy the flavor and aroma of the finest of cigars. We just got a $93 raise in our car insurance and they said it was because the State made the increase. I do not know if that is true or not but I think it is time to find cheap car insurance. My husband and I were sitting around the table discussing the future. Tomorrow they are having a Christmas Brunch at one of the churches here in town. My next door neighbor goes there and she has invited me to go along with her. She will pick me up so that is great too. I just hope the weather cooperates as we are supposed to have a blizzard all day tomorrow. There are supposed to be high winds and 2-5 inches of snow. It is here in town so maybe the snow won't keep us from going. If it was out of town, it would be out of the question as they say visibilities will be down to zero most of the time. December is Birthday Month

It has been quite a month so far. On Dec 3, one of our great grandsons turned 2, then our own twin girls had their birthday on Dec. 4. Sunday another little great grandson turned 1 on Dec 5. Another great grandson will turn 1 on Dec. 17. Last night we got a phone call and a birthday party was being held for him this coming Saturday night. Now we are also waiting to hear of the arrival of yet another great granddaughter who is due Dec. ll.
November also was a birthday month also. Our little great granddaughter turned 3 on Nov. 3 and little great grandson turned 3 on Nov. 13. Then our son had his birthday on Nov. 23 and celebrated it along with another little great grandson who turned 1 year old that day. It all makes for a lot of cakes and candles and fun.
