We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. Lawn Mowing

Well the lawn mowing has finally come to a halt. It was getting so we were mowing every week or even sooner. Now we have had such hot weather that the grass has stopped growing. Frankly, I am glad as it is not my favorite chore. The winds have been blowing now for the third day and I guess that is good to dry the corn and beans. My Sister

My sister drove up from our home town to visit us. We went out for lunch at the new Mexican restaurant in our town. It was very good and we sat and had a long visit about old times. She is 11 years younger than me so there are many things I know that she doesn't because she was born so much later. It was fun to visit about those days when we were young. My sister is coming today and we are going to go out for a Mexican lunch. I seldom get to go out for lunch as we don't eat a whole lot for lunch. But they have nice side orders that are just the right size and they serve them with lots of chips and salsa too. I am looking forward to a good visit with my sister and a good Mexican lunch too. Summertime

Summertime is a great time of the year. You can spend a lot of time at the new aquatic centers that have been built in almost every small town around here. They are really fantastic swimming pools and you can have a great deal of fun even if you can't swim. I love to be able to spend time outside enjoying the flower garden and watching the kids at play. Acreage

Our grandson and his wife have purchased a wonderful acreage. It has 3 1/2 acres and is just beautiful. It has a huge flower garden and yard. There is an all season porch on the back that will be very useful. It has 5 bedrooms and they have two children now so there is plenty of room to grow their family. It has been updated in almost every way. They are very anxious to get moved in. I would be too. I am anxious to go see it.

Fish and Chicken

We went to the new restaurant and had fish and chicken and both were very good. They have a huge menu and it is good and it is cheap. We have always had too much to eat for under $13.00. We saw that they have hot been on the menu so we are going to have to run over there and try that. Not everyone has good hot beef so my husband feels it is risky when trying a new place for it. This is a disease that many people have gotten unexpectedly because they did not know that they were being exposed to asbestos. When they tore down my old middle school house, they found it was full of asbestos. Many old buildings contain asbestos and people working in them were exposed to it and it caused Mesothelioma. It is a terrible disease and it is good to have a place to go on the Internet and get support and information about the disease. In checking the Internet, I found that there three best radar detectors. You need to know the law in each state first of all. A voice alert detector can advise you quickly of a radar band. You need a detector that can be upgraded as things change so quickly. If you can afford it, buy the top notch model and you won't be disappointed. Many cordless detectors have been discontinued. They cycle on and off and have less range and you want all the range and protection you can get. Escort, Coba and Beltronics are great radar detectors and are in several price ranges. When you are out on the road traveling, it gives you a great deal of peace of mind to know that you are covered by a good roadside assistance club. If your RV conks out on you, you can call them 24/7 and they will be there to help you. It doesn't matter either if it is your car or your travel trailer, if you have this coverage, you can rest assured that they will be there to help you. Before we hit the road in our RV, I checked out the Internet to see what was available. Do you get a lot of junk mail? Sometimes it seems that is all we get. There are catalogs for every little thing in the world. Often they are for the same things you see advertised all the time on television. Once in awhile you get one that has something interesting in it, however, most of the time they go in the recycle sack. Now days it pays to shred everything that is of no value to you but that has you name and address on it. You never know when someone is going to take a notion to steal you identity.

I know how important an education is today. If you want to get ahead in life, you need more education and a degree if possible. Perhaps you joined the service without thinking of the future. However, now you can see that a degree would assist you in climbing the ladder, even in the Military. And it will certainly be to your advantage when you leave the Military. Now is a great time to look into online military degrees so if you decide to further yourself in the Military, you will be prepared. If you have left the Service, you can get your degree on campus at many colleges. By checking into the Internet, I found it was easy to fill in a few things and find the colleges I needed to do this. Family Fun

Some of our family are moving to an acreage. It is just a beautiful place. It has a gorgeous flower garden and so much to offer them. It is a great place to raise a family. Right on a blacktop, it will be easy to get out and go, especially in the winter. I know the kids will just love the big yard. It is very exciting.

The men in my family and extended family are such serious basketball fans. With Christmas coming and several birthdays, I was shopping around the Internet and ran across personalized basketballs. What a terrific gift for any one of them. My oldest son has quite a display in his den all about his most favorite team. I found I could get a mini basketball personalized with his team on it along with a stand to display it on. He would just love it. Not only that, but the grandsons could have a ball, playing with the full sized basketballs, each with their favorite team imprinted on it. I know they would think it is so neat to have the date of their teams last winning game printed right on their basketball. Even our little great grandson would love a mini one to throw through his little basketball hoop. He's already a basketball fan. They are unique gifts that would be good for any occasion. I feel that customer service jobs are a very important part of any company. If the customer isn't happy, he isn't going to return to your business. Having worked many years in Personnel, we waited on a great many people. I was fortunate to be able to help many of the employees with their various problems, making for happy employees. It is the same with the outside customers. When they called in to our company we made every effort to make their experience with customer service a very good one. A happy customer is so important because they will steer business to you. An unhappy customer will tell many people and steer them away from your business. By checking out the Internet, you may find many openings now for Customer Service Representatives. This is quite important in this time of many layoffs and many people being out of work. New Addition

I am excited. We are going tomorrow to one of our daughter's to see the new addition they put on their house. It was partially done when we were there last. Now it is finished and they are adding a deck too. So we are excited to see how it looks. The rest of the family who have been there say it is awesome. I am sure it is. It is supposed to rain. We had a great time for my birthday. We went to a little bitty town with a great restaurant. I guess it has been there for years and it is still extremely busy. You can tell a restaurant is good by the crowd and you know the food is going to be good. I can tell you the steaks are soooo tender, ribs delicious, ribeye steak sandwiches were great, appetizers of all kinds and we had birthday cake for dessert that our daughter baked. It made it a real party when her sister brought this birthday balloon and put it on the table. It was a neat supper and evening together with family. Just wish everyone could have come.

Our Twin Daughters

A number of years ago we had 5 children and the last two were twin girls. From then on, it seemed funny when one of our friends had a baby, we wanted to say "only one"? It was a great deal of work but it didn't seem like it at the time. It was work I loved taking care of all the kids as they grew up. Of course, we all got lots of extra attention with the twins. My grandmother had twins and she was very excited about it. Then one of our twins had twins, my first cousin had twins and her daughter had twins. So we got quite a few of them in my side of the family.
Hot Weather

I think most of the United States is suffering from this terrible heat. It is 86 degrees and feels like 100. There is a good south wind though and we mowed the lawn. That was the only thing that would keep you from having a heat stroke. Every time we mow our lawn, our neighbor comes out and mows hers. She has a lot more to mow than we do. First Cousins

These little guys are first cousins. They are only 12 days apart in age. They are going to grow up being best buddies. They already play together quite often. Israel's Dad and Kaden's Mom are twins and they had their babies very close together. I think it is really neat.
Moen Kitchen Faucet

When redoing our kitchen, I knew that I wanted to change faucets. I had seen these faucets on television with the pull-out spray and thought they were the neatest thing I had seen in a long time. I checked out the Internet and found that a Moen kitchen faucet was just the type I had seen. It was just what I wanted. Such convenience was just great in a kitchen faucet. Right now I have to pull out the sprayer separately and I don't always use it as much as I could because it is not really as easy to use. You have to push the tubing back down in under the sink when you are done so it takes up so much more room both on top and underneath. It is fun to check Facebook just to see the new photos. I can keep up the families by their photo albums. It is fun to see what is new each day. Today when I checked our little great grandson, Caleb was on there with new pictures. I am putting one here so that you can see his big smile. He is really growing up. He's about 1 1/2 yrs old.
