We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. We are getting ready to go to a 90th birthday party. It is the sister of my husband who is having the party. She turned 90 on Wednesday and her daughter made a cake and invited us to come down to the nursing home for a party this afternoon. I bet Jennie will really be surprised. Our family is growing up so fast. These great grandchildren love each other so much. I am sure they will stay close as they grow older. It is so much fun to check them out on Facebook and see them growing. This world of technology is just great. Computers have really shrunk the world. And it is amazing to send a message in seconds and get an answer back just as quick.
Bible School

One of our great grandsons went to Bible School for the first time. He just loved it. He loved snack time most as you can see by this picture. They grow up so fast and it is important that they get a good foundation in the Bible. His folks take them to a good church and talk about the Lord to them. The Bible says as a tree grows so it will stay so if they stray away from the Lord, they will return again. We all want to see each other in Heaven one day.
Transunion Settlement

It is pretty scary to learn that your personal credit information may have been compromised. Even if it was back in l987-2000, it is still bad and it was illegal for Transunion to give out private information. It is no wonder that there is a lawsuit going on for Transunion Settlement because of this. I need to go through my records and see if I had any dealings for credit that might be involved. I certainly hope not. It is good that there is a skilled staff of attorneys handling this matter. If I do have a claim, I need to fill out a form and get it sent in. Heat Index

It is excessively hot today. The air conditioner is running full time and is set on 78 and can't keep up. House is 80. Supposed to cool off tonight and I sure hope so. Good Medical Report

My husband had tests the other day at a neurologists. I got to sit and watch him check his nerves and muscles. It was very interesting to see his machine work and how he wrote down figures, etc. When it was all done, my husband was given the report and it was all good. Junk Mail

Do you get a great deal of junk mail? I can't believe it sometimes. Sometimes there are 6 or more different catalogs in the mail. Some of the catalogs are from companies that I never heard of and never ordered from. I also get 3 or 4 regular magazines and my husband thinks they are all magazines but they are not. Also get so many ads for hearing aids, vitamins and minerals and all kinds of health stuff. I wish there was a way to eliminate a lot of this junk mail. I have even written into the places they tell you about to eliminate junk mail and it doesn't seem to work. I am told you don't dare order anything by mail or you will get catalogs again after they have stopped coming.

Can you believe summer is flying by and we are thinking of Black Friday already? You want to get in on the early deals and get the best deals you can. I am busily checking the Internet to find the best sales and see how I can save myself some money. With lower income, I need to stretch every dollar as far as I can and I know by shopping online, I can do this. It takes a lot to buy for a family so I really shop the Internet because I know I can get deals inbetween, as well. Have you tried it? It sure saves me a great deal of gas and wear and tear on me to buy online and have it shipped directly to my home. It lessens the stress so much. Sell Textbooks

Before we know it school will be starting again. One of the big costs of school is buying textbooks. It helps if you can also sell textbooks to someone to help pay for your new ones. I know they have exchanges in many places where you can haul your textbooks and sell them there. However, have you ever considered selling them on the Internet? It is really easy. I like a place that has a pre-paid shipping label and also somewhere I can ship them FedEx. That way you can be sure you are going to get your money fast and can get out and buy your new books. I can't think of an easier way than selling your books online. If you have some to sell, check out the Internet before doing anything else with both your books and textbooks. Cooking

I really enjoy cooking. I like trying out new recipes, however, my husband is a meat and potatoes guy. He doesn't always appreciate new dishes and casseroles. I am the one who orders the strange stuff off the menu in the restaurant. Sometimes I get stuck, but often I get the best meals I could have never fixed at home. Today we tried a couple of Healthy Choice frozen meals. They weren't exactly home cooking but I got to have sweet and sour chicken and rice and that is something my husband would never touch. It was actually very good for a frozen dinner.

What am I going to do now that the stock market is so unsteady? Where shall I invest what money I have left so that it will be safe? Family Birthdays

Today is quite a day of celebrations. It is our son-in-laws 53rd birthday. Our great granddaughter turned 13 and is now a teenager. My husband's brother passed away but his birthday would have been today. And today is the day my husband retired. So when we look at the calendar we see all kinds of writing on the 17th of July. What a beautiful morning. Yesterday it was 93 degrees and they said the heat index for our town was 123. I do not remember it ever being that high. It was so hot it was hard to breathe and you sure did not want to exert yourself in any way. My husband mowed the lawn early and he is really glad he did as there is a very heavy dew on the lawn this morning. And by the time it dries off, it will be in the 80's again. Our next door neighbor got right out and mowed too as soon as she saw my husband mowing. Both are very glad their lawns are mowed and look nice and got a fresh rain on them last night. We had tornado watches and severe storm watches all evening but all we got was a good shower. It went around us north and south. Natural Sleep Aids

Seriously, I have been taking 2 prescription sleep aids for a long time now. I know that we put a great many chemicals into our bodies in order to get the results we need, whether it be hypertension, arthritis pain, or just plain something to help us get a good night's sleep. In looking around the Internet, I tried to find some natural sleep aids instead of the prescription drugs I have been used to taking. But I need to be sure they are safe and the ingredients are also safe. Besides that, I thought perhaps if I found something that was tried by others and recommended to help me sleep, I might be able to get a better price by buying on the Internet. I know the stores have a good markup, I am sure, in their prices so if I can save money by purchasing a recommended product on the Internet, why shouldn't I do that? I am glad I checked it out. Great Grandson

The great grandchildren are really multiplying and growing up fast. We have 5 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters. It seems the boys outnumber the boys in our family. We have 10 grandsons and 4 granddaughters so the girls are really outnumbered. They are all very special though and each is different and have different personalities. There is another on the way now for December. Wonder if that will be another boy or a girl?
Cold Air Funnel

Have you ever seen a cold air funnel. I have never seen one in person, but tonight they had one on the news. It looks just like it is going to be a tornado. However, the weatherman said it was not a tornado and do not cause damage. Sure scary looking just the same. Funny weather we are having. Holly is our little Boston Terrier. She is 11 years old and I sure hate to see her getting old. She has been the best dog we have ever had. Awhile back she got some blisters on her back and they seemed to spread everywhere. She started losing her hair wherever the blisters were so we took her to the Vet. He checked her blood and found her thyroid was not working right so we give her a tiny half pill every morning. The blisters cleared right up and her hair grew back sleek and shiny. Jacksonville Cosmetology School

If you are one who likes to work with hair, then you are probably considering a career as a hairdresser in a salon. Regency is one of the finest schools you can attend and they have many salons in many places. They started 50 years ago so you can tell by that they have great schools. They are expanding again and now there is a Jacksonville Cosmetology School. So if you live there, or near there, or just wish to attend cosmetology school in Florida, you may want to check out the Internet and look into this school. You will learn all the things you need to work in a salon anywhere and they have a wonderful placement service also.

Reclast and Bone Scan

It is time once again for my husband's annual Reclast injection. He had to have a bone scan today to see how his bones are doing. I do not know what else they check for but if everything is okay, they will set him up for next week. A nurse gives the Reclast at the hospital. It takes about 15 minutes to get ready and 15 minutes to receive the injection and then you are good for a year. We both like it much better than taking one pill a week or they also have one you can take once a month.

Don't you just love onion rings? I sure do. This picture makes me hungry for a batch of them. I love onions in everything I cook too. Meatloaf is really good with enough onion and hamburgers. Makes me hungry just thinking about it. Guess that is because in another hour I will be on my way to eat out. Can hardly wait. My stomach is beginning to growl.

I did not know much about this diet pill so I decided I should get on the Internet and read up on the lipozene reviews. After hearing so many talk about it, I was kind of surprised to learn that it is not the best diet product you should take. It is always good to find out what has happened with other people. Duesenberg Automobile

Our town is the home of the Duesenberg Brothers. They invented the Duesenberg car many years ago. Every 2nd week in July we have Duesey Days to celebrate this. They have a parade and a big car show. There is also a lot of games in central park. Also food for everyone to eat. Plus, some of the churches put on a good meal too. It brings many people into town. Birthdays

Birthdays are so much fun. It doesn't matter what age you are, each one is a celebration of life. Getting presents is always the most fun of course. Not to forget to mention birthday cake and ice cream. I think the older you get, the better birthdays get. Attached is a picture of some of the gifts our grandson received for his birthday today.
