We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. Tonight is our night to go out for Mexican food. It is becoming more and more popular here in this area. We even have a new restaurant in our own hometown. If there is one thing you can count on, it is getting the mail and having several credit card offers just begging you to apply. They all seem to offer great deals but it sure pays to read the fine print. You may find out the rate is only for a short time and then goes up. Or they want you to transfer your balances for a low or zero rate but you find out there is an annual charge that you don't want to pay. Prescription Medicines and Your Health

You know years ago we didn't have all the prescription medicines we have today. Life expectancy was 38 and then it began to grow until now people live to 70's, 80's, 90, and even 100. They have advanced medicines so much that people with heart trouble in the 60's who died, probably would have survived today with open heart surgeries, stints and all the medicines to keep arteries open. Doctor Appointments

Tomorrow is doctor appointments. I have to have my 6 months checkup on my knee surgery tomorrow. Then also have eye doctor appointment to check on my cataract surgery. I had that surgery 2 weeks ago today. Seeing quite well and amazed at how much color I have been missing. A cataract gives everything kind of a yellow cast. Allergen Pillows

I just learned that as we sleep, we breathe moisture into our pillows. That moisture can grow into mold and bacteria. I know I've seen dust mites on television and it really grosses me out to know they are there. It is no wonder people have so many allergies, asthma and who knows what else. This video really tells it like it is.But there is a solution to this problem and it is to get allergen pillows . There are so many millions of people out of work these days. Every company has been hit hard by the recession. However, there are companies that are starting to come back and are beginning to hire again. If you haven't done so already, then it is time to get busy and update your resume and start your job search seriously. Next I would get on the Internet and see where I can find the type of job that I am qualified for and submit my resume. A couple of years ago, my husband and I bought some colon cleansing products and went through quite a regimen for two weeks. We went through all kinds of steps and felt it did a good job. Is there anyone who doesn't like chocolate chip cookies? Well, the little neighbor boy was selling some for the school. I bought some from him. I asked him if they were any good and he said "they sure are". He was right. They come in a square, 15 cookies to a square and you just break off as many as you want to bake and they are about 80 percent chocolate chips. Boy are they good! You just can't leave them alone. It is so cute to see a little child reading a book. Our little great granddaughter is reading a story to her new little brother. She even makes up the story even though she can't read yet. Then she shows him the pictures in the book. It is really neat to see her interacting with her little brother.
Valentines Day

It will not be long now and it will be Valentines Day. One year I told my husband I would love a box of chocolates without any carmels in them. He surprised me on his walk uptown and got me some. That was neat. We don't usually get each other stuff for Valentines Day as we have been together a great many of those days and it isn't a big thing like it is for young couples. Movie Time and TV Programs

We are about to watch "Waking the Dead" an English program on every Thursday night. It is very interesting as they solve cold cases. I like all the Law and Order TV programs too. Cataract Surgery

Tomorrow is the big day. I am going to have the cataract on my left eye removed. I am told that I won't believe how much better I will be able to see everything. Right now I think I have really great eyesight, so I will be surprised if it makes that much difference. My husband's were much worse and he couldn't get over how beautiful the colors were after his surgeries on both eyes. We will see. Labels: cataract surgery, Health, vision
