We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. These are tough times. People are being laid off or terminated from their jobs. Many have always wanted to complete their education and degrees but did not have the time. In my opinion,now is probably the best time ever to finish up your education and get your degree. The man or woman with a degree or degrees is one step up on someone without the additional education. I think one of the convenient ways to do this is by getting an online degree. Labels: degree online, Online University
I also feel that a teaching degree would be an important degree to achieve today as education is so very important to get ahead in life. By attending an online university that is non-profit, it is my feeling that it will cost less. It certainly will be much more convenient to study at home rather than traveling to the nearest college, using gas and time that are both valuable to you.

I got a laptop for Christmas. What a great present. My grandson and son-in-law also hooked up a router so I could use it in the living room and spend more time with my husband. I think that wireless routers are really a great invention. I found a website that not only has some of the things I was looking for, but it has all the stores so you can get the best buys. If you are in need of a router, in searching the Internet, I found the number one name is Belkin Pre-N Routers. There are a number of them listed that are good as well.
If you are using a laptop, I found that I should get a cellular modem card is all I need to take my laptop with me to use anywhere. What a wonderful convenience that is. I love to keep up on my email and blogs and this is a great way to do it.
Winter Snows

It just does not seem like it can quit snowing this year. We had some flurries overnight again. My husband had to clean off the deck and the landlord cleaned all the roads and driveways yesterday. When we were out on the highway late yesterday afternoon, snow was blowing across the highway and starting to stick to it. Honestly, this is the first time I ever heard of this diet pill. However, it sounds like it can really do the job of taking off that excess weight you gained over the Holidays. In reading adipex reviews offered by customers, it is my opinion that it could be quite dangerous. I don't feel you should use anything that contains an actual amphetamine grade ingredient of any kind. It sounds to me that I would be putting myself in danger by using this product. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and safe traveling. The roads around here are really icy but we got where we were going and the rest of the family had a long way to come. They ran into some really icy roads that had not been cleaned off. Snow was blowing too and cut visibility down as well but all made it safely. Family Fun

One of our daughters and her family are all coming to visit in a little while. Then we are all going out to supper so I won't be cooking. It will be nice to enjoy a hearty buffet of chicken with the trimmings, pizza and a big salad bar. We also get to see one of our latest great grandsons for the first time. He was born Dec. 5. Christmas Draws Closer

It is just a week from today that it will be Christmas. It seems like it comes around faster and faster each year. We will be having our Christmas with family at our daughter and son-in-law's home. We will also be able to see and hold our little great grandson that was born November 23 on his Uncle's birthday. I know his Uncle was quite pleased that little Kaden was born on his birthday.
We are having a big pot luck dinner which has turned out so well since we started it, that we have continued a pot luck for several years now. With lots of good cooks in the family, there is always more than enough delicious food and everyone brings their favorite homemade goodies too.

I made some homemade burritos and they turned out pretty good. Got some good taco sauce and salsa to add to them. Makes for good lunches. I am going to try making some more now that those are gone because they were so good. Love any kind of Mexican food. Homemade Soup

It is time again to make homemade whole pea soup. I have the dried peas soaking now. Tomorrow morning I will cook them up, add some potatoes, carrots, beef stock and tender cooked stir beef chunks. It makes a nice big batch that will serve us for lunches for several days. It is an old German recipe my mother-in-law taught me to make. I have passed it on down to my kids. We have so much to be thankful for. We have a great family of children, grandchildren and now great grandchildren. Our newest addition arrived today about 6 minutes past noon. He was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 8 lbs 11 ounces. That makes 3 girls and 5 boys for great grandchildren for us. What blessings they are!! Labels: Family, great grandchildren

I decided Monday to have my glucose tested. It has run a little high now and then over the past 2 years. I felt a little lightheaded so thought it was time to check it. Sure enough, it was a little high again. Going to the doctor on Monday and find out my options. I know the diet so will get back on it and knock off eating homemade pie :0(

Every morning when I open the daily newspaper, I notice the list of burglaries is growing by leaps and bounds. I know it would be a very good idea for us to install security cameras just in case. It used to be you could leave your doors unlocked and your keys in the car but not any more. Sadly, so many people are on drugs and they need money and the best way is to steal from others. Great Grandchildren are Truly Grand

Here is the latest arrival in our family. Our latest new great grandson. Isn't he grand? His little sister just loves him, as do the rest of the family, of course. Who couldn't love such a sweet little baby? He weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz and was 21 inches long. Hopefully he will be tall like his dad and bring some height into our rather short family :0) Now we anxiously await the arrival of the next two great grandsons. It could be any day now.
