We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. Do you get on Facebook? I try to get on there several times a week. I like to read what people are doing. I know many of them and it is fun to read their remarks. It is also great to see the latest pictures. There were several new sets of photos of our new little great grandson on there today. It is so neat to see things almost as soon as they happen. Medical Assistant Training School

If you are looking for a career or new career, you might want to consider medical assistant training school. The medical field seems to be in need of medical assistants as hospitals grow and take on more doctors and clinics. I know in our area, the major hospital has a number of clinics in our area and they are much in need of this type of trained personnel. A good friend of ours just took such a position assisting the doctor and she just loves it. With the aging population of our state, clinics and hospitals seem to be growing by leaps and bounds. Water Softener

I really do not know what I would do without our water softener. It makes the water so smooth and takes out all the impurities. If you do not have one, I feel it is one of the best investments you can buy for you and your family. It will save you money on detergents for washing clothes and dishes. Your hair feels so nice and smooth. There is no lime build up in your pipes and appliances. We live in an area that has large amounts of lime in the water and the softener makes such a huge difference. Labels: Family, water softener

Now is the time to stat looking at LCD tvs. It is almost Christmas and don't you feel like you deserve one? We got one a while back and we just love it. I got on the Internet to see what was available. I was surprised to find so many great choices and so many great prices too. Buy yourself that Christmas present you have been wanting to watch your favorite sports. With such a huge selection available, you are sure to find just the one for you. Praises for the Cook

I made the best supper tonight. And I got praises for the best supper in days. I thought I had made several, but apparently this one hit the spot. Tender Minute steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and salad were just the right meal for tonight. My husband just loved it. In fact, they are the only online university to do so. They are fully accredited and have just put out a new podcast that should be of great interest to you wish to go into this field of education. It is Snowing

It is snowing. It isn't very big flakes but it is snow. It was lightly misting at noon when I took our little dog Holly to the Vet to have her nails trimmed. I picked up the mail and the rain stopped. However, it got quite cloudy and dark. So I am not surprised to see it snowing. They kind of promised us one or two inches and they never let us down.
Recipe Errors

My sister just called me. She was given the ingredients to make two big pumpkin pies for another family. She is going there tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Instead of putting in 1 1/2 teaspoons of spices, she put in 1 1/2 tablespoons. Now she does not know what to do. She said the family is big on spices and I told her to take them. They will probably put lots of cool whip on them and may not notice they are quite spicy. Then again, if they love spices, they may just love these pies more. Labels: Pumpkin Pie

I can remember when a couple of my nieces wanted to go to cosmotology schools. It wasn't always so easy to find one that was not way far away from their homes. By checking into the internet now you can much more easily find those schools. It is easy to choose a State or enter a zip code and find a list of schools. But there is quite a bit more to it too. You may want to find out more about the laws and the latest trends. Also you may want to find out if there are ways to help pay for your education. Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year. We always have much to be thankful for, but this year has been extra special. My husband survived colon cancer with no follow up treatments. I received a new knee replacement to replace one I had for 13 years and had come loose. And now we have a new baby great grandson added to the family. God is good - all the time. I feel sorry for those who do not have God in their lives. I don't know what they do in times of trouble. We thank God for all our rich blessings. New Baby

The new baby is on the way. This is No. 7 great grandchild. I can hardly believe it! Our daughter and her husband are going to be double grandparents within the next couple of weeks for the second time in 2 years. It is very exciting. No one knows what the baby will be - a boy or girl. That is the best part. Everyone now days wants to know in advance. It has its advantages, but takes a lot of the excitement out of it, I think.
Copper Sinks

We kind of take our sinks for granted. We are so used to the same old sinks, frankly, I don't really think much about them. But I saw copper sinks on the Internet and they are quite beautiful. They have been around a very long time and come in quite a variety of shapes and colors of copper. I feel it would really make a difference in my kitchen to have a new sink and one made of copper. I would be the envy of my family, I think. It would sure brighten up my kitchen especially with one of the antique light copper sinks. Labels: beauty, copper sinks, Internet
Emry's Birthday Party

Emry really had quite a birthday party. I have been looking at the pictures and it looked just wonderful. All the food and a beautiful birthday cake any child would love. The theme was a circus theme and his Mom did a fantastic job on it. Everyone had a wonderful time and wish we could have been there too. Maybe next year. We'll see.

Your home is your castle and when it is damaged, you need to be sure you have proper insurance coverage. This has been a very bad year for floods and many people found they did not have the proper home insurance. So many fires have happened already this year due to someone leaving a candle unattended. Disney Christmas Tree

Because Christmas is such a special time of the year, we go all out to decorate our homes in a very special way. To add to the decor of my home this year, I have received the most beautiful Thomas Kinkade Crystal disney christmas tree. It not only lights up from top to bottom but a little train runs around the bottom of the tree. With the push of a button, a large variety of wonderful Christmas carols are played as the train goes round and round the tree. I am also able to let the train run and stop the music anytime I wish.
The lights in the home reflect so beautifully through the lovely heavy crystal top that slips over the tree make it a masterpiece of artwork, as well as, the most sensational Christmas highlight of all my Christmas decorations. I can hardly wait now to get going on my decorations and have my family in to enjoy this lovely centerpiece.

Celebration of Life

Today we had a celebration of the life of our son-in-law's mother. It was her funeral but it was a celebration because she went from this life to Heaven. I think her husband met her there and it was a grand reunion. She suffered from Alzheimers for many ears and it is a blessing that she has graduated to Heaven to be with Jesus. Funerals are also similar to family reunions in that you get to see so many people you haven't seen for many years. Everyone enjoys sitting down with food and fellowship at funerals. Fall Days

We are really having some beautiful Fall days at last. We had a terrible cold wet and even snow in October. That was very unusual. So we expected the worst for November. But so far, we have been happily surprised. We went visiting about an hour from home on Monday and it was so nice to see the farmers out combining. Today we took a trip about 2 hours from home and visited one of our daughters and it was a perfect trip. We had a great lunch at their local Pizza Ranch, which we love. You always have a great meal there. We saw one deer running across an open corn field that had been harvested. You usually don't see them in the middle of the afternoon but now that the combines are taking out the corn, the deer are on the run. So it pays to be on the lookout for them.
The Autumn Leaves

The leaves are really falling. As you can see here, two of our great grandchildren are having a ball playing in the leaves. It is fun to see the families get together and the children can find simple things to play with. There were plenty of leaves so they could really get into them, throw them and play. I remember when we used to rake up a pile, start a little bonfire and then my Mom would bring out the marshmallows and we would roast them on a stick. We thought that was the greatest treat.

Having a stressful job can cause you to grind your teeth together in your sleep without you even knowing it. But when my jaw began to ache, I knew something was wrong. In this modern world of electronics, everyone is using ipods. Not wanting to be left out, I began checking around the Internet to find the best buys. I wanted to save myself some money as my budget it is very tight. I found there are many types and accessories. I wanted to be sure I got one with all the features I wanted too. Doctor Visit

Today is my 12 week checkup on my knee revision. This is my 4th knee surgery so I am an old hand at it. I am walking without help now. My knee feels quite good, very little ache anymore and just sensitive to the touch. Haven't been able to wear my support hose yet on that leg but it won't be long. I can ride the stationary bike and go all the way around now. That's progress. Labels: Health
