We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. November 1, our little great grandaughter, Kaelyn, will be 2 years old. She is patiently waiting for a new little brother or sister who will arrive in about 4 weeks. She is excited to be a big sister. I remember when our oldest daughter turned 2 and her little brother was born about 2 weeks later. She was so happy and proud to sit on the couch and hold him on her lap. It brings back a lot of memories. Here is a picture of Kaelyn and her first cousin, Emry who will be 2 on November 13 and will get a new little brother in December. It is exciting. All this is happening right along with the Holidays.
Business Gifts

Probably the hardest gifts to buy are business gifts. There are so many different policies among companies, that it is hard to know what to give. However, a gift to charity is always a good choice. Everyone is happy to give to a good charity. You can obtain cards for every occasion to give a gift that will be appreciated and do good at the same time. There are over 100 nationally recognized charities so that makes it easy. You can get them in various denominations, but I think one of the great parts is that when you buy them, they are tax deductible right away.
Wrinkle Cream

Oh my, I looked in the mirror this morning and I have turned into my grandmother. My face is a mass of wrinkles and those under my eyes are the worst. Besides I have had dark circles under my eyes for some time now and I wonder if a wrinkle cream will really work to fix these problems. I think I need some good advice from people who have checked it out. I have heard most creams won't help those under your eyes. Tile Flooring

Well I just looked around at our tile flooring and it certainly has seen better days. A new tile and a new color would work wonders to improve those rooms. There are so many kinds now to choose from and also a great many colors. With the Fall sales going on, this is probably the best time for us to get with it, and change the tiles and brighten up our home. Oh the life of leisure, traveling about the country in your own motorhome. Enjoying all the scenery and companionship of other fellow travelers. However, when something breaks down, you need to be ready for motorhome towing and it can really be expensive. Before you hit the road, it is best to be sure you have signed up for some 24 hour emergency road service so your trips won't be spoiled. Are you prepared? Pizza Night

Went to the Pizza ranch tonight. They will make any favorite pizza you want. We always have them make an apple or peach cactus bread for dessert. It is really good. Their broasted chicken is some of the very best around. When we came out there was a lot of excitement as all 4 fire engines were headed out. We wondered if it might be a combine/corn field fire. Baking Cookies

The kids next door are selling all kinds of stuff for the school. They are planning a trip to Washington D.C. for the 8th graders. So we have been buying frozen cookies, cookie dough, pies and chocolate covered peanuts. What will be next? Anyway, we got the oatmeal raisen frozen cookies Friday so I baked some and they are very good. I only bake one cookie sheet, 9 or 12 at a time so they are always fresh. Here is a picture of Great Grandson No. 6. He is a cute little dickens. He's all dressed up for Halloween. He's got the deepest dimples. He's 10 months old now and is walking already. These little ones are so much fun to watch them develop. He will probably be talking a blue streak too before we know it.
Funeral

My cousin's husband died yesterday in the middle of the afternoon at his job. He worked in an office and had a massive heart attack and was gone instantly. He was only 59 so it has been a terrible shock to the family. Fortunately, my cousin's brother and his wife were there visiting their new grandchild that was born last month. At least, his grandpa lived long enough to see him. But it is still very shocking to lose someone so young. He loved the Lord and I know he is with him now. We will see him again someday.

We are having the worst cold, wet weather this Fall and I am ready for some nice warm weather. A vacation at myrtle beach resorts would be just the ticket to warm me up.
