We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. It is so great having a wonderful, helpful husband. I have just had a major surgery on my left knee and he has been doing everything. He washes clothes, folds and puts them away. He takes care of setting the table and getting the dishes washed. Anything I need, he carries for me. I don't know what I would do without him. We have been married nearly 59 years and dated 2 years before that.

That is what they call it when they have to take out a knee they put in years ago. Then they have to put in a new one. Due to my bone changes, all the parts worked loose and it is kind of unusual I think. It takes a lot of walking and exercising to get it back to normal walking again for I will get there. Rice Soup

I have been thinking of making a batch of rice soup. It is a good old fashioned soup my mother-in-law used to make. It has a beef broth base, good tender stir fry beef, diced potatoes and carrots in it. A friend brought us a bunch of new potatoes and carrots out of her garden so they should be great it in. I can almost taste it now. My family loves it.

Birthday Celebration

It was my birthday yesterday and I had a wonderful day. I got lots of cards in the mail. I saved them until Sunday to open them. I always like to do that. Then we went to church and I got lots of hugs and good wishes for my birthday there. It was just a beautiful day weatherwise. Also got phone calls from the kids.
