We have 4 married children and we all have born again Christian homes, for which I am very thankful. We are delighted to see this passed down from generation to generation. I am a people person and love visiting, and helping them too, in any way I can. I love a good cup of hot tea with friends, neighbors, or family. Madonna Injured in Fall from Horse

It would seem that paparazzi spooked the horse that Madonna was on. She was horseback riding in the Hamptons on Saturday when her mount was stated by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes. They wanted to photograph her. Luckily she was treated for minor injuries but it could have been very serious. Man Kills Family

It seems to me that almost every day on the news, there are headlines like the one above. Murder suicide seems to be running rampant throughout the country and the world. They said the man was stressed out and was having a hard time adjusting to his new job. But why did he have to kill his wife and three young children and then himself? She had a blog of her own and in it she wrote how she thrived on the excitement of change. However, it seems it was just the opposite for her husband. Another sad story.

We must have weather, whether or not, someone once said. I know we are never happy. First it is too cold, then it is too rainy or snowy. Then it is too hot. It seems the weather around here has been changing almost daily. We had cold days in the 40's and 50's and then now we have had two days in the 80's. You don't know how to dress. Whether to take a coat or sweater or wear shorts. I once lived in California where the weather was almost boring but it was always beautiful. I loved it. Labels: drastic changes, weather

I ran around this morning, picking up odds and ends like hair spray and a night light. One of the night lights stayed on and wouldn't go off and that was a warning to get rid of it. Picked up some groceries and they are still remodeling our grocery store. It is really going to be nice when it is completely finished. They have added big sections to it and seem to be carrying more groceries now. That way they can compete with the larger stores in larger towns not too far away. It is good because you really have a huge selection of things to choose from.

Our little great granddaughter can really walk now and runs almost everywhere she goes. She loves her Grammy's dog, Zoe, and has fun with her. She is going to have a little brother or sister this winter and that will be quite a change for her. She will be 2 years old by then and I think that is just the right spacing between children. By 3 they get more independent and I think she will grow up closer to her new sibling at this age.
Easter Dinner

We went to our daughter's house for an early Easter dinner on Saturday. She had a delicious turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, dressing, hot biscuits and butter and jam and the best punch. Then she had made a beautiful chocolate dessert. It had brownies with nuts in them in it and lots of whipped topping and tasted as good as it looked. Her husband is a wonderful help to her, washing dishes, helping cleanup and anything else that needed doing. Had a great visit with their children and grandchildren.

My husband just found out he has colon cancer. We don't know the results of the biopsies yet but when we get them, he will be scheduled for surgery. This type of cancer is quite common these days and is very curable. People get scared when they hear the word "cancer" but they shouldn't be. They need to put their trust in the Lord Jesus for their healing. God gave us wonderful doctors and we need to have one we can go to with faith and have the surgery and be healed. Babies

We got some more happy news this weekend. We are going to be double great grandparents again. The same grandchildren who had their babies 13 days apart are both going to have babies due about 3 days apart around the end of November. Two of their parents are twins and they seem to be doing everything together. It is just amazing to us how this has happened twice now. It is pretty neat! One has a girl and the other a boy. The owner makes at least 10 various flavors of very good homemade pie. Coconut cream is my favorite but my husband likes chocolate. So before we left, I had the owner box up 2 pieces of her delicious chocolate pie and took it home and had it for dessert for supper. It was a special treat.
